On my nails, I tend to go for those outrageous shades, So I wasn’t sure on how I’d feel about Sephora by OPI’s Leotard Optional which is part of the Urban Ballerina Collection.
In the bottle it looks like any other plain neutral beige toned nail polish but I was pleasantly surprised when I swatched it on my nails. It has more of a pink base to it compared to most other beige nailpolishes. It reminds me of an iced mocha or something and after I applied it to all my fingernails I couldn’t stop looking at it. It looked really classy and went well with my gold ring and bracelet.
Depending on how thick you apply each coat, it will take 3-5 coats to reach its full opacity. At first I applied in thin coats on a few nails which took me 5 rounds of application in order to get rid of the streakiness, and after that I applied a bit more generously and needed only 3 rounds. This polish lasted me about 3 days before I noticed some wear at the tips, and after the 5th day it started to chip.
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the color which is unique in comparison to other shades in the same range, however I would have liked the formula to be a little more opaque.
If you’d like to get it for youself you can get it here.
