With a new seasons come new trends! This fall’s trend has been decided to be none other than graphic eyeliners! Check out the different types and styles that you can sport for this new trend after the cut:
Open Edged
Seen above, with this type of style, simple means a lot. With just a smidge of a wing, you’re given the edgy look, but with a whole new vibe. Jeanine Lobell, a Hollywood makeup pro says, “It’s more graphic and interesting, yet nearly just as simple to do.”
HOW-TO By using a stiff pointed brush, trace your upper and lower lash lines with a liquid eyeliner in whatever color you care for (though black turns out the best). Extend the lines 1/4 inch past the outer corners. To clean up any mistakes, dip a cotton swab into eye-makeup remover.
“This eye makes me feel rebellious. I’d wear it with sexy heels and a badass pair of jeans,” heard from the model wearing this eyeliner look. With the image of a colorblock design, the thick, squared off wing gives a different vibe from your typical tailed wing.
HOW-TO Before applying liner, powder your eye lids with translucent powder, and then proceed to pull your eyelid up towards the temple to hold skin taut. Then, use a pointed felt-top eyeliner pen, and draw a thick streak along the upper lashes. One you’re just past the outer corners, flick the line upwards. After that, fill the open square with pencil, and top it off with matte gel eyeliner for the best result.
