Who says summer looks can’t be incorporated into your autumn beauty regime? Despite the lack of sun and the dull feeling, there’s always room for a bronzed eye palette and sunny lip shades, whether it’s spring, summer or fall. Taking that inspiration into fall, here are some easy, summer-to-fall makeup transition tips, with an added Mediterranean twist.
Take some color into fall
Holding onto your sun-kissed glow from summer doesn’t have to involve baking yourself in a tanning booth until golden-brown. Rather choose a skin-safe option and buy yourself a gentle exfoliant, a gradual self tanner, and a great bronzer. A great bronzing technique is to sweep a bit of bronzer under your jawline, right under the ear to the chin. This not only makes your face look slimmer, but it accentuates your fake glow!
Keep it metallic
A summer goddess is usually never seen without a smoldering metallic eye, but heavy metal colors are the makeup trend for fall. Blend a dark bronze shadow across the lid and add a dash of light bronze shade through the socket. To make the eyes pop, add a champagne shade in the inner corners and on the brow bone. Line your eyes with a black liquid liner and finish with white liner in the inner rim. Mesmerizing!
Make your pout pop
Lips covered with bold bright colors are not only for summer. Try a flattering coral or ruby red lip. This is a statement on its own, so you can get away with keeping the rest of your makeup minimal with a neutral eye and some soft color on the cheeks. Apply lip liner last, if need be.
Maintain your summer flush
For a flattering and realistic flush, smile as you apply a sweet coral powder blush onto the apples of your cheeks, using a soft blush brush. To add a dewy finish, dab some lip primer or gloss that doesn’t stick on top and blend into the skin with your fingers.
