Besides the insane (and functional!) old-fashioned merry-go-round that Louis Vuitton decided to put down as the main showpiece of their runway for their Spring/Summer 2012 show, something else that caught my eye was the absolutely gorgeous makeup that the models were sporting. Matching the very girlish and belle-like nature of the clothes, the makeup wasn’t meant to be overpowering and stand out, instead, it came out to be light yet with a captivating charm at the same time.

For the face, it was kept very clean and flawless but really without any color added at all. Maybe a swipe of peach blush, but that worked with the almost winter-y feel of the look. Most of the focus seemed to be on getting the skin perfect and sort of glowing, in an almost “ice princess” way that matched the colorfully frosty and pastel shades of the collection.

But of course, you can’t forget the eyes. A touch of brown eyeshadow and then dolled up with some amazingly, luxurious lashes. They were definitely able to stand out on the face and give the entire look some dimension. Plus with how simple the face is, if you were to sport this off-the-runway, you could really go all out on your fake lashes and it would look absolutely fine since it won’t be too much with the rest of your face.

Totally love it as a potential look for the upcoming Spring but it looks to be pretty versatile for right now as well. It’s really just so elegant, with a touch of glam that isn’t too intimidating. You can also check out more photos at Style.comThoughts?
