That would seem strange, wouldn’t it? Normally one would purchase perfume to disguise the scent of their B.O. (body odor), not be based off it.
Have you ever wondered how people are terrible at picking out the right scent of perfume for you, or have you ever stopped to think about how you can smell a fragrance and automatically know that’s it’s “the right one for me!”? Well, wonder no more!
Charles University in Prague did a research that resulted in the conclusion that we pick scents that amplify our body odor, not cover it up. The studies have shown something along the lines of “Our sweat broadcasts a bunch of signals about everything from our health to what kind of immune protections we have.”
Seeing as how everybody’s B.O. is different, other people tend to not understand the scent we’d like on our skin. Weird, isn’t it? One would think that perfume is used to mask our unpleasantness, not increase it!
