Review: Korres’ Japanese Rose Showergel

I really am not that picky about what kinds of bath or shower products I use, but I guess scent is an important factor that draws me in to particular ones. Previously, I tried out the Korres’ Japanese Rose Body Butter, which delighted me to no end, and now the showergel of the same scent, the Korres’ Japanese Rose Showergel, shall undergo my critic!

The Japanese Rose Scent is one of velvet, sweet essence of rose buds, according to the bottle. For a little background info on the Korres company, go to the body butter review or the official Korres website. The site says this about the showergel: “Creamy-foam showergel with hydrating ingredients that provides a lasting moisturizing effect and helps to maintain natural moisture level of the skin. With a sweet essence of rose buds.”

Twisting off the cap, I sniffed the showergel. Ahh, so relaxing and a tad stronger than the body butter. Am I hallucinating or do I smell apple cider again…Still, it doesn’t bother me, though I did expect the scent to linger on my body a little longer than it did. Also, I wouldn’t call the formulas foamy at all. It bubbles up, but it doesn’t foam. Creamy? Yes, and it feels completely smooth and gentle. After using this showergel several times, I could tell the moisture in my skin was longer lasting and improving from the slight dry-ness before.

Doesn’t the gel just look lovely? (Hope you can sense the sarcasm there.) Sorry it’s a little bubbly. I think I shook it…

I recommend this product for those who like the scent described, and desire to have a very relaxing and soothing bath/shower time.
