Well here’s something you don’t see everyday. These artistic designs aren’t made out of ink or rubber, but a skin disease…

These photos belong to a Brooklyn artist Ariana Page Russell, who is famous for creating designs out of her dermatographia-plagued skin, a condition where hypersensitive skin easily swells and welts up with minimal contact. Many people would see this skin condition as a negative effect of their life, but Russell has managed to change her condition into something other people, as well as herself would enjoy.

Not only is this a good lesson for mankind, but it also gives us some good amusement for a few seconds or so.

That is definitely one way to embrace one’s skin condition. From an artistic view, it looks really cool. From a plain view, it is kind of creepy. Writing on the skin by using skin - wow.


.... Is it healthy? If it doesn’t hurt her, then I guess it’s fine… I just got kind of grossed out by the fourth pic…

Kay this is very creepy and scary. Its not artistic skill it just gross and disturbing.
If you have a skin diases treat it properly dont abuse it.
