While makeup brushes can be fun to collect, it’s not such a happy time for your wallet. So let today’s Beauty Tip of the Day help you out with an alternative place to look for brushes that are cheaper and able to get the [makeup] job done.
The next time you need to pick up a makeup brush at the beauty store but don’t want to drop the $40-something dollars for one, try the art supply store instead. Here you can browse and pick up a high-quality paint brush that are much cheaper but can do pretty much the same thing.
As a guide, watercolor brushes are great to consider when you want something for detail work, like eye liner, spot concealer, and eyeshadow, because they mimic the same fiber density of conventional makeup brushes.
Though keep your blush, powder, and foundation brushes to the real thing, since no paint brush will be able to replicate their even distribution of powder.
