The current season has sent me on a hunt for gold and copper shades for anything. My recent stalking for a copper nail polish sent me to e.l.f. and their line of $2.00 nail polish. Not surprisingly, I tried out e.l.f. nail polish in Copper.

The shade outside of the bottle I found to be rather pleasant although not true to its shade name. In the bottle Copper definitely appears copper but when worn, it looks more like a deep rose gold. Which for me was fine because I love rose gold jewelry. Having e.l.f.’s nail polish in Copper on your nails is like wearing jewelry because of the shine and luster it gives off.
With topcoat, the nail polish lasted me the average 5 days before chipping. Not bad for $2 nail polish. My only complaint is really just the bottle cap/brush. Since the cap is a square shape (as opposed to the average round shape), it felt a little unnatural to hold. Despite that, I really enjoyed the nail brush because its wide — designed for fewer application strokes.
If you can get past the bottle cap/brush, I think it’s a steal at $2 and great if you’re looking for nail polish that’s a rose gold-ish copper.
Score: 4/5
