I’m always up for trying out different shades of polishes and when I saw this teal color I totally had to give it a try since I’m such a fan of bold colors. I’ve never tried out e.l.f. nail polish formulas before so I thought I’d test it out.

e.l.f. says, “This color-lock formula with chip resistant shield gives long lasting color with high shine. The bristle design glides color on flawlessly, and quick dry formula gives perfect application every time. Key nutrients infused with Vitamin E for stronger, healthier nails.

e.l.f seems to have a bit of trouble in the naming department. Much like Jinra has noted previously the names don’t quite match with the actual colors, as you can see from the swatch of Teal Blue above it definitely looks more of a teal-green rather than a teal-blue. Not a big deal for me but might be disappointing for those purchasing online.

The formula was smooth and easy to apply and dried fairly quickly. It took 2 coats for full coverage and it didn’t bubble like other polishes do if you apply coats more thickly. It lasted about 4 days before it began to chip. The packaging for the polish is in a square shape which feels a bit odd in your hand but it helps for those times when you close the cap a little too tightly.

You can get it here for $2.
