Getting the chance before to browse Jouer Cosmetics‘ latest holiday collection, I was excited to get the chance to try out one of them (since I had actually never heard of the brand before). From their new mini glisten up lip gloss collection, I was sent Nude Glisten, a sheer sparkling nude that looks super gorgeous already from its petite bottle.

Generally, I’m sort of always in a rush to remember to apply lip gloss, especially if my lip balm was doing a fine job already. Though more often, I tend to sport it when I actually have time to get ready, whether it’s going out someone where or just using up a bit of time before work.

Like anyone, I don’t really like the super sticky and tacky lip glosses, since I’d don’t fancy the taste of my hair in the wind…But I also like for it to be a bit inconspicuous too and not feel as though I have a bunch of goop on my lips. Not to much to ask for, right? Let’s see how you do Jouer.

Application + Swatch: From the get-go, it’s super pretty. The shade is sort of a peachy-pink type of nude and you can definitely tell that it “glimmers” with all the sparkly glitter in the formula.

Applying it on, it glides really smoothly. Though what I was most impressed with was that after having it on for a few seconds, I was delighted that my lips didn’t feel like there was really anything on them. The moisturizing abilities of the formula were really dominant in making sit on your lips as subtly as it could. Very comfortable and because of this, I can say that it’s definitely become one of my favorites.

Shine-wise, it’s also really gorgeous. Though the color is more of a sheer wash, so it doesn’t really add on anything. But when I swiped it onto my bare lips, I was pleasantly satisfied at how nicely it shined. And even though it appeared to be full of glitter from the bottle, you can’t even feel any grittiness at all (like some glitter lip glosses).

Overall: You can pick up the full sized gloss here for $20 or look into the mini glisten up lip gloss collection that goes for $25 but you do get the chance to try out four colors vs. just one. But I totally love it and would recommend it for anyone to gift or pick up for yourself, since it’s just one of those glosses that brings the right amount of everything that you would want to perk up and make your lips look a bit more special.
