Eyeshadow palettes are great because you usually don’t have to think about which eyeshadow colors will work well together since they’re usually already matched up to work nicely with each other. For the most part, I don’t need more than 3 shades for my eyelooks which is why I fancied the NYX Eyeshadow Trio in Shangri-La.

NYX says, “Three’s definitely company when it comes to this trio of fashionably coordinated eye shadow shades in the NYX Trio Eye Shadow palette. Apply your statement shade on the eye lid, blend with the crease color and finish with the highlight. Includes a dual-ended sponge applicator and mirror for on-the-go touch-ups. Available in 45 eye-catching palette variations.”

The colors are all a satin-pearl finish with good pigmentation, the middle orange shade being the most pigmented. They last a good amount of time on a lid with eyeshadow primer. I find the yellow and the lighter orange shade to be good neutrals for everyday makeup looks and the orange adds a extra little pop of color for those days when you want to stand out a little more. The palette comes with a double ended sponge-tip applicator as well as a mirror which comes in handy for those times when you need a touch up.

Overall I think the pigmentation and quality of these eyeshadows is really nice and the 3 colors were well chosen to work together in this palette.
