Want to imitate Lea Michele’s gorgeous wavy hairstyle? Read on for Dove celebrity stylist Mark Townsend’s advice to you.

Townsend helped style Michele’s beautiful crops for the New Year’s Eve movie premiere on December 5th and she looked gorgeous! He said that: “Her Valentino dress reminded me of old Hollywood, so we wanted to play that off with a young, modern [look].”

Townsend started by applying a large dollop of Dove’s Body and Lift Mousse to Michele’s damp hair. He then blow-dried her hair using a large round brush. He brushed most of her hair off to the side, creating a deep part on the right side of her head.

Next, he took three-inch sections of hair and sprayed each section with hair spray. Each section was then curled with a two-inch barrel curling iron and the ends were left just a little bit straight.

To enhance the shine and texture of her hair, Townsend applied a quarter-size amount of Dove’s Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Smoothing Cream to his hands, rubbed them together and raked his fingers through her hair to make it more piecey.

For the finishing touch, he sprayed some hair spray on a small flat brush and swept Lea’s fringe to the side, away from her face.
