The color red has always been popular ever since lipstick started to be popular. Here are four ways you can wear the traditional red color in a new, reinterpreted way.
The Two-Toned: This look can be accomplished by using two complementary shades of red. The trick to this look is to have two shades which are similar and have the same undertone. Put the darker on on the bottom and the brighter color on the upper lip. Here’s another tip. To avoid the colors bleeding into each other, dust on a bit of transparent powder on top.
The Red Sparkle: Because glitter makes everything better, so rock a sparkling and sexy pout. The model in the picture above, sports lips which are lined with a deep red then fill in with a cherry red color, followed by red glitter. Tip for this one: put two coats of a thick jelly gloss to keep everything in place and for some extra shine!
The “Kissed Off” Look: This sexy yet low-maintenance look makes you look like if you’ve just spent some time locking lips with someone. To get this look, just get a dark-ish colored and apply it directly to the center, then smear it towards the edges. This look is also great if you don’t really like or if you’re not used to the feeling of having product on your lips.
Dip-Dyed: Get a look filled with depth. Use a deep red lip pencil to line and fill the lips. They put on some true-red lipstick in the center of the lips and finish it off with a glossy coat!
