Looks like two young celebrities have managed to take the spotlight and influenced people the most with their haircuts for 2011.

The Wall Street Journal has officially proclaimed Emma Watson and Justin Bieber as the trendsetters for their stylish and chic hairstyles. Said the newspaper:

Hairstylists are being inundated with requests for pixie cuts and the Bieber swish. The enthusiasm plays out online, where the fastest-rising searches for celebrity haircuts on Google are for Ms. Watson and Mr. Bieber. This is more of a change for women—for whom short hair hasn’t been trendy since the ’90s—than for men, who may justifiably feel sheepish about asking for the cut.

Emma Watson’s pixie cut made headlines after she prominently showed it off, while Justin Bieber’s soft, swishy hair have made many a fangirl swoon.
