Of a 3000 women poll, the Duchess, aka our much-loved Kate Middleton has been crowned the top beauty icon of 2011, while leading a whole list of brunette celebrities in the top 20.

With her classy style and trademark brown locks and heavy eyeliner, Kate Middleton beats 2,999 other women as she topped the icon list. Her trademark look of shoulder-length hair with subtle curls plus the self-done dark eyeliner has apparently pushed her to the top. Following closely, her sister Pippa Middleton earns second of the list with her natural, tan look.

Last year’s winner Cheryl Cole, along with Rihanna and television presenter Holly Willoughby finishes the top five list, ranking respectively as third, fourth, and fifth. Also remarkable is our Hermione, Emma Watson, who snatches eighth of the whole ranking as the only woman in the top ten with short hair.

Sara Wolverson, Superdrug Director of Beauty, has made an obvious observation, “What is fascinating is that four of the five celebrity women to appear in the top five are brunettes, which would indicate that while blondes may have more fun, brunettes are seen to be more beautiful.”

…So they basically ignored the existence of redheads and Asians. But still, the Middletons have some nice genes indeed.
