In the colder months, it’s still important to exfoliate. Though the idea is to not go too rough, since the harsh weather won’t do anything to help your skin if it usually ends up a bit sensitive after. With that, I had noticed that my skin was looking a bit tired lately, partially from the returned school schedule and the result of some skincare neglect…and wanting to just lay in my warm bed all day. So seeing Clinique’s 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula, I was intrigued that it could be the solution to cleanse my skin and perk it up a bit to be ready for the rest of my beauty routine.

Texture + Scent: With some exfoliators, you can definitely feel the pieces that go on your skin, which is fine if your skin is in great need of a scrub and can take that type of rougher treatment. But with this, it was a bit more of a finer texture, where you can feel the sand-like pieces, but it was gentle enough that it feels more like a light massage. The gritty texture was a bit smooth, though it would do the job to pick up any flaky and dead skin.

Scent-wise, there’s barely anything though you can get a faint hint of a very clean scent that was of the milky variety. Nothing too overpowering at all.

Results: After massaging all over my face and rinsing off with warm water, I was pleasantly surprised to see that my skin complexion looked more awake. It definitely did the job to lightly exfoliate my skin and leave it looking a bit brighter and also my skin a bit smoother.

Overall: One of my favorite things about this scrub cream was that it really wasn’t too harsh, making it pretty nice to use during these winter months (when you don’t want to over-exfoliate and irritate your skin with the cold winds). But it would also be really nice just all year-round, since it would work for those that need a bit of mild exfoliation a couple times a week. Not to mention how much more awake you feel and look after a bit of a massage with this on your face - super relaxing.
