Out of my makeup routine, I think that my eyelashes are the most important part because flirty lashes are really feminine and pulls the rest of my makeup look together. With that said I’m always looking for a better mascara. The NYX Doll Eye Volume Mascara sounded like it might do what I need from a mascara– add volume, and to make my eyes look dolly.

NYX says, “Hello doll-face! For irresistibly fluttery eyelashes, try this mascara on for size. Doll Eye Mascara uses a unique blend of natural oils, Vitamin E and nylon fibers to extend eyelashes to almost faux proportions. Choose from lengthening, volumizing or waterproof versions.”

The wand has a slight hourglass shape that hugs the span of your lashes quite well, I had no problems applying it to the corner lashes which are sometimes tricky to reach. The mascara is decently black, although I’ve used other mascaras in the past which are much more intensely dark. It does provide volume but its nothing out of the ordinary. I like that this formula is a little bit drier than others and because of that it holds curls quite nicely.

Overall, this mascara does the job of making my nearly invisible lashes stand out and holds in curls better than other mascaras, I would have liked if they offered the volume mascara as a waterproof version as well because that is something I look for in a mascara.
