Hairstylist Marie Robinson gives tips on what color to dye your hair. She says to stay 2 shades darker or lighter of your natural color and to choose a color based on the jewelry you wear.
Marie Robinson said, “If you’re someone who can wear gold jewelry, you can probably wear reds and golds and caramels. If you’re someone who looks better in silver jewelry or even cooler makeup, then generally a cooler hair color would look nice on you too. So look for tones that say “ash,” “cool,” or “beige.” If you can wear a lot of rose gold, then your skin is probably more neutral, so you can wear a lot of different colors.”
She also explains that permanent hair dye is for anyone with more than 25% grey hair while demi-permanents is for people with less than 25% grey hair, and it blends in with your hair and “enhances its own natural highlight.”
She also says to go to a professional for help if your hair turns orange after being bleached or more than 2 shades lighter or darker than your natural color. Well, that will help me when I try to dye my hair which probably won’t be doing any time soon. What color would you dye your hair?
