Being an occasional reader of Teen Vogue and Seventeen, I definitely saw a lot of advertisements for Clinique’s Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm. When I got a chance to try it out in the shade Mega Melon, I was estatic because I could try out this unique looking lip stick!
Here’s what Clinique has to say about their product:
Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth. Eight natural-looking lip tints in all, each with a subtle sheen.
Here’s a swatch on my hand to prove that natural-looking tint and sheer coverage.
This colour actually looks a lot different than the one on their website so I was sort of surprised when it got swatched out compared to the swatch on their website. Nonetheless, I do love this colour because it is very close to my natural lip colour but it is a bit more pink and brighter.
Here’s how it looks on me:
This product is almost entirely (except for the swatch online) true to its words! I wasn’t expecting much in terms of moisture when I put first put it on because I had pretty chapped lips, but it gave a ton of moisture for around 4 hours that I was basically floored. It is very easy to apply since you just act as if you’re colouring your lips with a giant crayon. This lip product however doesn’t last as long as other lipsticks as it starts fading after 4 hours, but that’s an okay time period in my opinion. I was also at first skeptical at how you got more product out, but I realized that you turned it from the bottom like a normal lipstick.
Overall, I am in love with this product and will probably look into trying out the rest of the shades availabe. I highly recommend trying this out if you’re looking for a natural looking lip colour that still provides a ton of shine! Plus, it has adorable packaging!
Score: 5/5
