L’Oréal has just joined the club of banned ads with their newest ad for the “Revitalift Repair 10” starring actress Rachel Weisz, for the reason of “misleadingly exaggerated the performance or the product.”
Apparently, the magazine advertisement has changed Weisz’s complexion too much that it appears a whole lot smoother and even - maybe a little too smooth and even for tthe regulatory agency’s liking.
Of course, L’Oréal is quite disappointed with the decision, saying that “We believe that the image in the advertisement is a true representation of Rachel Weisz. The product claims are based on extensive scientific research which proved that the product improves 10 different signs of skin aging.”
I find the ad pretty okay. Many say Weisz looks too different in the ad but I find it not the biggest problem. What do you think?
