Why and how in the world did Sex and the City end up with their very own perfume line? Hopefully it doesn’t smell like Magnolia cupcakes or desperation. Whatever it smells like, it must be popular because the “Sex in the City” perfume, which is a very original name by the way, was the most counterfeited fragrance of 2011.

According to the U.S. Customs & Border Protection, the scent managed to make only $8 million. If they were sold as authentic, real prices, the line would have made up to $45 million.

The perfume sells for $10.99 at 3.3 oz. per bottle. Still, something tells me that the perfume was bought for nothing more than the popularity of the TV series. Cute bottle, though.
