Review: TONY MOLY’s Hello Bunny Perfume Bar in Bebe Powder

In trying to slowly build my beauty arsenal of ridiculously cute bunny items, TONY MOLY has enticed me once again. And considering I was so happy with the last one, I thought I’d give their Hello Bunny Perfume Bar in Bebe Powder a try.

Loved by T-ara, the Tony Moly Hello Bunny Perfume Bar is a portable, easy-to-use solid-stick perfume that comes in a super cute bunny-shaped bottle ranging in a variety of scents, sure to satisfy everybunny!

Something different, since I don’t think I’ve heard of many solid/stick perfumes before. Either that or it sounds similar to deodorant but more emphasis on providing a nice smell rather than sweat protection.

Design: Adorably cute! I mean, it’s a bunny, could it be anything less? (Though I’m probably a little biased…) And while you might not be able to tell from the pictures, it also ends up really compact and travel-friendly in size (3 inches from tip of ears to bottom), making it an easy addition to throw in your bag.

The cleanliness/protective cap that I always like to see on products you’ll actually put to your skin:

Scent: With its perfume notes listed as containing bergamot, orange, rose, orchid, oris, violet, musk, and vanilla musk, it’s probably not too helpful unless your nose memory is able to know and mix them all to give you an idea of what it might smell like.

When I had first sniffed it, I had gotten a pretty interesting whiff of what smelled like baby powder and maybe fresh laundry. A bit different (at least from all the super floral perfumes that I have), but not really bad at all. Giving it another second, the floral and fruity notes that were mentioned come in to play, though it’s surprisingly not overwhelming, instead it’s really mellow, especially when it mingles with the baby powder/fresh laundry scent from earlier.

Application: The solid stick is actually really study and…well, solid. With the slight body heat of the area that you apply it to, the product glides off pretty easily, it sort of reminds me of deodorant but not as soft that you can actually see traces of it if you apply too roughly.

…though it ends up pretty much invisible. The only indication that it’s actually there (besides the scent) is that there’s a really light, sort of waxy-feeling, residue. Though it’s only on the initial application (a swipe or two) and goes away after a little while.

A perk to its design is that you don’t have to worry about it accidentally breaking and soaking your bag in liquid perfume, since with the solid stick and the plastic covering, it’s going to be really hard to crack it at all.

Overall: With its cute bunny face and miniature design, it’s a pretty cool item to bring along when you need to freshen up your scent. Especially in the hot summer days if you’re prone to sweating a bit in the heat. If you’re not too big of a fan of super flowery scents, Bebe Powder is a good choice to consider since it’s only a hint and the rest is frolicking-in-a-field, laundry-esque freshness.
