This holiday, Karl Lagerfeld will be collaborating with Shu Uemura in order to create a 17-piece set hosting a range of products such as 4 nail polish shades, Shu Uemura’s own signature cleansing oil and fabric false eyelashes which may remind you of kabuki fans.
Mon Shu (a play on the French term “mon chou”), a doll-like character depicted with a black bob created by Lagerfeld, is on the cover of the packaging for the project. There’s even a miniature version of Mon Shu showing her hanging off the red-embellished eyelash curler in the set.
Lagerfield spoke in particular about the two eye palettes in the collection, “I use their eye shadow colors for my sketching. It’s better than pastel; nobody has colors like that.” The two eye and cheek palettes will be available in a smoky green and a smoky purple.
October will see the collection being released in the USA but is only arranged to go online on February 2013. Knowing the pair in this collaboration, the whole theme will be very pretty indeed.
