Since we’ve been going a little It’s Skin Babyface-crazy, I decided to check out the It’s Skin Babyface Pure Lipstick in Strawberry Pink. Yet another cute It’s Skin makeup product with a (baby)face. We just can’t seem to say no to makeup with faces on it.
The Claims
According to It’s Skin, the It’s Skin Babyface Pure Lipstick is a, “moisturizing lipstick that expresses bright and clear lips.” It’s available in 10 shades that you can view here.
Packaging
You get about 3.4g of product in the traditional It’s Skin Babyface packaging. The lipstick is a baby pink lipstick tube with a baby face on it — the same one you can find on all Babyface collection products. The box it arrives in as wings. As per usual, so freakin’ cute. Here it is uncapped:
Peach, but barely noticeable after you apply it.
Color
Strawberry Pink is indeed a Strawberry Pink, a blue-based pink that’ll look best on pretty much all skin tones. It looks a lot like Lancome’s Cotton Candy lipstick. Here it is applied half on:
Applies thinly with a glossy finish. If you’re not one for how heavy lipstick can sometimes feel, you won’t mind the It’s Skin Babyface Pure Lipstick.
Performance
It’s Skin Babyface Pure Lipstick is indeed moisturizing lipstick that kept my lips hydrated for a good 4 hours. For me, that’s pretty much the average for lipsticks that claim they’re moisturizing. The color however, started to fade just after two hours of wear. A shame — I was hoping to depend on this to be my replacement for Lancome’s Cotton Candy lipstick. Strangely, while I was wearing it, I didn’t notice a lot of transference when I drank out of cups or straws. If you’re not quite used to wearing lipstick, I’d say these would be great to help you transition from gloss to a full on, creamy lipstick.
It’s Skin Babyface Pure Lipstick is available at KpopHeaven for $11 USD.
Score: 4/5
