Etude House’s OMG Dry Shampoo has to be by far the funniest title for a dry shampoo. I love dry shampoo just as much as the next oily scalped, lazy person…but not so much to evoke an, ‘OMG’ response. Of course, ‘OMG’ in the title was reason enough for me to try out Etude House’s dry shampoo.

The Claims
According to Etude House the OMG Dry Shampoo is, “a quick, convenient solution to those mornings where you wake up late leaving no time to wash your hair.” It’s formulated with Etude House’s Anti-Sebum Complex, an ingredient in the dry shampoo that keeps the scalp fresh and clean. It claims to be a great quick fix for oily hair if you’re on the go.

Packaging

You get about 50ml of product in a small aerosol spray bottle that’s about 3 or 4 inches tall. The bottle itself is cute featuring a pop-art style comic involving a girl who’s woken up too late to wash her hair. The aerosol bottle and the size is pretty typical of dry shampoos. I have a Tresemme dry shampoo spray bottle that holds the same amount of product and its taken me over a year to finish with regular use. (I wash my hair every other day.)

Scent

Fruity and floral. The scent isn’t overpowering, nor is it unpleasant. Though if you’re not into scented products, you might have to be wary of this — it’s most apparent if someone is standing really close to you.

Usage

Usage is pretty easy, especially if you’ve used dry shampoo before. There really isn’t anything different in how you apply it. Just spray and the roots, then massage it throughout your scalp.

Performance

Like most dry shampoos, Etude House’s OMG Dry Shampoo works instantly. Most dry shampoos tend to require touching up by me three or four hours after spraying it into my scalp. With the OMG Dry Shampoo, I noticed that I didn’t need any touch up — my hair stayed dry throughout the day! I also enjoyed the scent — usually dry shampoos end up smelling like hair spray on me. OMG Dry Shampoo just smells like you washed your hair with an actual wet shampoo that smells fruity floral. Overall, two thumbs up! I highly recommend this to anyone dealing with oily hair or if you’re just plain too lazy to wash it.

You can currently pick it up at KpopHeaven for $13 USD.

Score: 5/5
