Beauty gurus that have oily or combination skin seem to always rave about oil control paper and it’s benefits that are better than powder. Having basically only stuck to powder my whole life, I was curious to see what they were talking about I decided to check out Etude House’s Oil Control Paper.
Interesting to note, it’s made in Japan unlike most Korean makeup products that are made in Korea.

Here’s the product description:
Endorsed by 2NE1’s Dara and SHINee, the Etude House Oil Control Paper is designed to blot and remove excess oil from your face, all in a convenient take-anywhere with you size.
How each of the 100 sheets of paper come out (the paper is actually twice the size shown here since it’s folded):

Results: Since the results won’t show up in pictures of me (even using flash as an attempt to showcase oil,) I do have to say that this does get rid of the oil (no matter how minimal it is) around your T-zone area and wherever else you are oily in. I definitely look more matte after sweeping the whole sheet of paper on my whole face on a hot summer day versus not sweeping it at all.
Overall: I’m probably not the best person to try out oil control paper since the oiliest part of my face are my eyelids and sometimes the T-zone when it gets really hot. However, using this on hot and sweaty summer days is definitely recommended as it gets rid of oil from just one sweep onto your skin. For my normal skinned face, this product will probably be most frequently used by me until the end of summer, unless the weather keeps being this hot into the fall (which isn’t super likely living in Canada) or whenever I want to go out with just eyeliner so that it doesn’t smudge all over my eyelids and crease area (which is quite often). For all you out there with oily skin, you’ll probably be loving (and worshipping) this a whole lot more than me because it’s definitely a lot easier to use than powder and you won’t look cakey afterwards if you’re wearing foundation already. Plus, it’s super compact and you won’t have to worry about it spilling out all over your purse!
Score: 5/5
