Review: Tony Moly Kiss Lover Lipstick in PC04

In terms of lipstick, I’ve always wanted a peachy nude colour for my lips if I decided to go for a more dramatic smokey eye. Tony Moly happens to provide one with their Kiss Lover Lipstick in the shade PC04, which is described as “Peachy Beige.”

Colour: As stated before it was a peachy beige, and it’s not really super pigmented, although you can add a few more layers onto it and it’ll become more and more pigmented each time. It sort of doesn’t stand out if I have it on with just black eyeliner, but it seems to compliment green eyeliner more in my opinion.

Application: The tube is thin enough to not go outside of my lip line and there wasn’t really anything wrong in terms of application of the lipstick.

Scent/Taste: Like most Tony Moly products, it is scented with perfume, so if you don’t like perfumed products, I’d advise you to stay away from most Tony Moly products or most Asian products in general since they usually scent their products. There’s no taste to the lipstick so it doesn’t feel too gross.

Formula: The formula is quite nice in terms of application, it’s really creamy to apply and will last around 4 hours of the day if you don’t touch food–it comes off so easily if you touch even a straw. I found that it wasn’t really moisturising unlike what they claimed but you can always just apply lip balm before you apply the lipstick to keep your lips moisturised. It also seems to showcase a bit of the lip ridges that I don’t really like seeing up close although if you look from afar it’s not that visible.

Overall: If you’re looking for a lipstick that has a creamy texture and lasts pretty much the whole day unless you’re in contact with food, I would recommend you to go with this. Although the colour pay off is sheerer if gives you the option of wearing it more sheer if you only want a hint of colour on your lips or you can keep on applying it to get the stronger colour you desire.
