Trying out Tony Moly’s Premium Eyelashes in XL was probably the third time in my 27 years of existence that I’d ever worn false eyelashes. The first time I had them put on by a makeup artist (for prom). The second? Last year, for a review of ELF’s false eyelashes. This time around, I suppose I was feeling confident after watching just about every single Youtube tutorial on how to apply false eyelashes for the second, third or fourth time in a row. They make it look so easy!
Surprisingly, no promises are made with Tony Moly’s Premium False Eyelahses. Though, I can’t remember reading beauty brands hype their false eyelashes — they’re just expected to give you fuller, longer lashes that make your eyes appear bigger.
Nothing too exciting if you’re familiar with what false eyelashes look like and the sort of packaging they arrive in. The false eyelashes come in small plastic case where the lashes adhere to a molding on a pink plastic tray. The molding has an adhesive on it so after you wear it, you can put it back on the molding so they keep their shape for up to however long you’re supposed to keep false eyelashes. I’m guessing just a few wears before you have to toss them.
There’s a small tube of glue that also comes with the false eyelashes.
The false eyelashes don’t smell but the glue kind of has this stinky amine scent that isn’t quite noticeable unless you put your nose over it.
What it Looks Like On:
For comparison purposes, my left eye is wearing the Tony Moly Premium False Eyelashes in XL and my right eye features my natural eyelashes:
Although the XL lashes are quite…XL, they leave behind a natural looking eye. I would definitely wear this out during the day! I loved that the lashes aren’t too flimsy, meaning it was easy to get a good grip on them. Speaking of grip, I found that the provided glue did a decent job of keeping my lashes on all day up until it was time to take them off for bed. The glue took at least a minute to dry, but that’s typically expected of false eyelash glue. I’m aware that there’s complaints of the glue ruining your eye makeup on, but I think it all depends on how good of an eyeshadow primer you have on. I faced no troubles when I wore these babies with makeup.
Overall, if you’re looking for long, full false eyelashes that are also natural, I highly recommend the Tony Moly Premium False Eyelashes in XL. I had such a good time with them, I’m slightly curious to check out the other options that KpopHeaven has in stock. You can currently get it from them for $5 USD!
