When a cute, winking cat comes into the picture as an option for your makeup, how could you say no? I definitely couldn’t and seeing TONY MOLY’s Cat’s Wink Mascara, it’s not too overly cute, being in black, but just adorable enough to pick it up to try.
Endorsed by T-ara, Tony Moly’s Cat’s Wink Mascara is the cat’s meow! Specializing in lengthening, volumizing and curling lashes, this unique no-smudge mascara features a cat’s face and ears at the tip of the mascara wand.
- Key ingredients include carbon black, black diamond and black pearl extract for intense black lashes, centella asiatica extract to protect against the elements, argan oil to moisturize and fiber to lengthen lashes.
- Available in black in two varieties: 1 Volume, 2 Curling
- Easily removed by warm water only.
The one that I received is in 1 Volume & Longlash, which comes with a “unique bullet-shaped wand and is formulated to make lashes look fuller and longer.” Sounds good ^^
Brush + Shade Described as “bullet-shaped,” it appears pretty standard, though I did notice that it is a touch slimmer than most regular mascara wands. Being a bit smaller, I was more reassured that I could control it a bit better on my lashes. Rather than be too big that I might clumsily miss my eyes being so close…since my lashes aren’t too crazy long.
Looking at the bottle and brush pictures, you can easily tell that this is a black mascara, which is cool with me. Plus black usually ends up everyone’s standard mascara color anyway, being so defining. Nothing much to comment on, since the black just ends up a really nice and opaque black.
Results: With the promise of volume and “longlash” aka length, I have to say that I think it performed really well. The volume aspect definitely seemed to help give my lashes the appearance of looking longer. Using just one coat, I was really pleased that it was all I really needed.
Another shot of my more “wink-worthy” peepers:
Overall: Very satisfied with the performance of this mascara. It’s pretty much a straightforward and very black mascara that gave my lashes a nice boost of fullness and length. Standing out with its sassy cat-shaped top, it’s cute factor will tempt me to reach for it than any of my other plain top ones.
