Have you ever had trouble finding the right shadow/liner combination? Well, TONY MOLY has made it much easier by pairing an eyeliner and a cream shadow in one stick. The Crystal Eye Decoration stick in brown has the possibility of being as awesome as it sounds. Read on to see how it holds up.
For the liner, you get about an inch of soft pencil and to get more, you just twist the top. Now, this is great if you don’t wear the same make up every day, but I tend to stick to one look for a while so only having that little bit of liner seems pointless to me. And, a few uses the tip gets rounded with no way to sharpen it to keep your lines thin and neat.
For the shadow, only the clear part of the cap is full, so, once again it is a little bit of the product. But, because it is a cream shadow it will last a little longer. And with a springy sponge applicator, there is no problem with reaching the product to reload the sponge.
The liner end is a gorgeous khaki/brown that has a little shimmer to it. The shadow end is a shimmery pink/gold cream shadow. The only down side to these colors is that they look darker in the swatch, but are actually really light on your eye.
Applying both the liner and shadow were very easy because they are together - all you have to do it flip the pen around. There really was no trick to the liner because it is a soft pencil, I just wish it was a little more visible. For the shadow end, there is a built in sponge applicator that is really nice and soft. And thanks to the spring the the applicator, you don’t have to worry about reloading the sponge.
I said early that the colors were fairly light, but that in no way makes that a bad thing. Because they are very light/subtle, this product is perfect for make up newbies or anyone that doesn’t like or normally wear bold colors. I tend to wear a neutral eye so you focus more on my eye color than my make up, so I’m in love with the pinkish gold shadow.
As great as the color is, if you don’t wear a primer, the cream shadow will start to crease in about one hour, but because there is only a little on you eye it’s not that noticeable. If you do wear primer, you can make it through most of the day with out any problems.
With all that said, this duel ended stick is probably the most convenient make up duo ever. With one end having a liner and the other having a perfectly matched shadow you never have to search through your make up bag again. The only thing that could make it even better would be more of the liner. But, we can’t always get what we want, right?
