One of the most exciting kinds of beauty products for me are eyeshadow compacts. Why? I love the little sections of color and the little mirrors and brushes they come with. Plus, no worrying about which colors go with which– they’re all there. Etude House Dear My Blooming Eyes in BR402 Heart Touching Beige Brown is a great example of such a compact, along with cuteness points! More »

Come with me to the land of potatoes (I can’t think of anything else for Idaho…) within CARGO’s Eyeshadow Duo in Boise. Though it’s definitely an unexpected name, the first impression with the color looks promising so let’s get to it. More »

Sometimes you just need or want that extra bit of shine but in a way that you don’t overdo it and look like a disco ball. With LORAC’s Perfectly Lit Oil-Free Luminizing Powder in Spotlight, I think you’ll be pleased with how it is able give your skin that bit of subtle glow and a bit of warmth if you’re a fair-skinned one like me. When it comes to pretty and cute things, I am all over them. And Etude House is one of the beauty brands that I absolutely adore for their packaging and product presentation. This time around, I’m reviewing the Etude House Dear My Essence in Lips-talk in EOR201! More »

The BlushBeam (Bloom Beam) from POPBeauty easily manages to add extra glow towards your features, but appears to be missing a crucial part of its concept: the blush. While the product manages to express its “beam” aspect perfectly, it falls short in color and pigmentation. Ulta describes it as: More »

Holika Holika Pig-nose Clear Black Head Cleansing Sugar Scrub. Wow, that is a long name. But it sure gets all the important points of the product across. The little pig nose associated with it is also cute, though it makes me want to push my nose up to try and imitate it. Oink! Reminds me of Go MiNam in You’re Beautiful, hehe. Okay, now on with the review. More »

This lipstick comes off as sweet and charming without laying it on too thick. Etude House’s Sweet Recipe Dear My Jelly Lips-Talk in (JPK002) serves more as a tinted lip balm than a lipstick. The product provides a lovely, sheen coating that moisturizes lips whilst presenting a nice tint. More »

Bunnies, flowers, candy - there’s a bunch of happy things that you can receive that would make your life a bit sweeter, but there’s nothing quite like cupcakes. Though this particular one from Etude House is more likely to make your face sweeter, rather than your tummy. But either way the Sweet Recipe Cupcake All Over Color looks to be a treat for your eyes. The Aqua Lacquer Lip Gloss in Baby Pink from POPBeauty gives your lips a natural tint all while avoiding the fatal mistake of many lip glosses - being too sticky. More »

I’m not one for lip gloss usually, though somehow, they’ve made it into my makeup stash anyhow for those special occasions. Sometimes you just need that extra bit of shine that will really make your lips stand out and when that time comes, you also want it to last. CARGO’s Long Wear Lip Gloss looked like a fun contender to try out, especially since the last item I tried from them wasn’t too bad More »

For the most part, we all want what’s best for our lashes, and the best usually involves thickness, length, and curls. And while, you could look for the best in each category, if a product pops up that offers all three in one, that cuts the search short, at least for now. With Cargo’s Triple Action Mascara stepping up to bat, let’s see if it’ll score or strike out. More »

For those that have been looking a bit fatigued, one of the best ways to combat it is to just add a bit of a glow to make yourself appear more away. And with Etude House’s Nymph Aura Volumer Baby Glow Stick popping up, it’s tubular shape gives me the impression that it’s easy to use - let’s hope I’m right. More »

What’s the makeup scandal you say? Well, I decided to use Rimmel London’s Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks in a way not previously advertised. Earlier in the ’00s, MAC had a similar product with the same name — I used them mostly as a colored eyeshadow primer to give my eyeshadows a little color oomph on the eyes. Since that MAC product is no more, I had expectations on Rimmel London’s Scandaleyes Shadow Stick to be the same thing. It was wishful thinking on my part, but as it turns out…you shouldn’t give up on wishful thinking. More »
