Wouldn’t life be easier if you could share more products with your man? We buy multiple shampoos, soaps and deodorants simply because some are labeled “Men” and others “Women”. While I don’t condone the sharing of deodorant or mandate the use of floral shampoos by men (unless that’s your thing, I guess — be my guest), I do think it would be nice to share once in a while. D&G Recently put out a line of five unisex scents that are made to mix and match. I thought it was a pretty cool idea, so I sampled each scent to see what the fuss was all about. More »

It’s pretty much agreed on that some games are art-based - they feature beautiful and/or stylistic artwork, and sometimes the art is really what makes the game. Many games can be called a work of art. But can a work of art be a game? Usually the art in a game takes the backseat, aiding and enhancing the gaming experience. But recently a number of games have begun to question what would happen if the art was the game. The point is not to get through the game and “win,” the point is to just play for the sake of playing. Sometimes, there is no point. The focus lies in the experience. You as a player are placed inside a work of art, and your actions influence the whole artwork in general, or help you discover new ways of seeing it.
You might call it interactive art. More »

From Ningin: BoA, the epitome of beauty should be no surprise to own most of the best beauty commercials. Before Girls’ Generation and Son Dam bi were crowned, BoA has been remained the queen of advertising in Korea. A few good beauty companies are tied to her name such as Fasio (Kose), Maybeline and Missha. Ever since BoA debuted, her gorgeous face has been captivating audiences and hypnotizing men and women alike with the combination of her charm, sexiness, innocence, beauty, charisma and star qualities. You may have noticed lately that Twilight is this huge, international hit. No? Really? Well then, I don’t know where you’ve been. But the people over at DuWop have noticed and released this limited-edition Twilight Venom. More »

Games are fast becoming not just entertainment mediums, but also art mediums as well, blending musical scores, beautiful and vibrant environments, and sometimes extremely detailed characters all together to create not just a fantastic gaming experience, but also a beautiful one. Here are my top 7 most beautiful games of all time: More »

Though some might use the expression “Beauty is only skin deep,” growing up in America we all know that is a complete lie. Beauty means everything in our society, and that transfers over into the video game nerd universe as well. Maybe not so much for the players, but definitely for the medium. We don’t want anymore polygon hands or paper thin environments! What we really want is CGI cutscenes and explosions so realistic looking that the heat from the blast comes right off the screen and punches us in the face!
Okay, maybe I got a little carried away there. The point though, remains. Beauty and fashion are important to us denizens of earth and because of this, Mixr Media is launching a brand new site called Flauntme! Why you ask? BECAUSE WE GOT IT! More »

When Maybelline first started advertising their Pulse Perfection mascara, I have to admit that I was a little skeptical. Basically, it is a regular black mascara that comes with a vibrating brush which is supposed to coat your lashes better (you know how makeup artists do that fancy brush-wiggle trick?).
Unfortunately, I had a hard time with this one… More »
Sephora is running a great Twitter promotion for the holidays called “Sephora Claus”! All you have to do is go to the contest website and enter the name of the product that you want to win (as long as it is under $150!). You can also enter directly from your Twitter account by tweeting “@Sephora I want (wish here) #SephoraClaus”. Oh yeah, you also have to follow @sephora on Twitter! More »

So, Proenza Schouler’s Spring 2010 show was pretty awesome, and everyone has been talking about the hair as much as the clothing! The models rocked a beachy wave in their hair, and some of the girls had pastel colored locks.
Recently, Ashley Olsen was spotted with a somewhat toned-down version of the hair style, but I still love it! Try out the look for yourself! More »
