Colonial women obviously didn’t have the makeup and technology we have available today. They didn’t have anything to work with, but they were still able to primp themselves. Here is a look into what colonial girls did for present-day results. More »

Today’s Daily Nail Art is a little more on the casual side, a nude with a tiny hint of pastel for the french tips. This look was designed by sawracki. Choose a nice nude beige base color and once its 100% dry, apply tape to the tips of the nail for a perfectly straight edge since the french tip will be quite thin and might be a little tricky for those of us that don’t have the steadiest hands. There is nothing more intriguing than perfume with history, yet somehow, Hanae Mori Butterfly is the first perfume I’ve tried that wasn’t made in the last 5 years. In fact, Hanae Mori first introduced Hanae Mori Butterfly to the world in 1966. The notes present in Hanae Mori Butterfly are: Strawberries, Bilberries, Black Currant, Bulgarian Rose, Jasmine, Ylang-Ylang, Sandalwood, Almond, Praline. More »

After seeing Mylinh review the China Glaze Crackle Glaze in Black Mesh, I thought it’d be fun to show you guys a comparison to the different brands and formulas. OPI released this Black Shatter polish along with the Katy Perry collection and seeing the numerous amount of positive feedback from many others, I had to get my hands on it myself.Once again, I was lurking through Winners and I saw the Shatter polish at an immense deal-$7.99! Score! I had to buy it! (The local beauty supply store sells it for $11.98.) However, the price of OPI products will depend on where you live. Since the Shatter polish is in such high demand, it is very likely that it will be priced for over $10. More »

Today’s Daily ‘Do features a Half Up Hairstyle. Now this has got to be one of my most favourite easy, simple, and good for school hairstyles! It’s a lot better than just leaving your hair down because who knows what might just happen to it: wind-the frienemy of hair (it helps you feel gorgeous at times, but also messes up your hair)! All there really is to do is part your top half of your hair in half and tie it into a ponytail. Then use some bobby pins to secure loose strands into place. Easy as 1, 2, 3, right? More »

A lot of my inspiration for new makeup looks revolves solely around whatever is the lip color du’ jour. From there, I imagine the eye colors that would compliment the lip. As it’s summer, I’ve been on a peach-kick. This particular look I’ve come up with pits (get it, pits?) peach and brown together. While it sounds like a disgusting combination, I’ve found that it’s actually quite nice. Trying out this look was also a great opportunity to test out Sephora’s Nano Eyeliner in Black Midnight.
