I pretty much always use Maybelline brand mascaras — they are great quality and super-affordable! One of my favorites since it was released last year is the Lash Stiletto formula. It really separates the lashes and gives them a nice glossy coat. Unfortunately, I’m not so crazy about the new Lash Stiletto Voluptuous product. More »

Here’s a tool that I’ve never seen before: shields that you put under your eyes so that your eye makeup doesn’t smudge while you are applying it, and then you throw them out. The Sephora Shadow Shields are essentially cotton pads with adhesive on the back so that they stay in place. But are these really necessary? More »

Not wearing eye makeup primer when you have eye makeup on is one of the most unforgivable face offenses one can commit. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t wear it. Unless you have something severely against getting the most out of your eye shadow in terms of color and wear duration. I’ve yet to come across a makeup primer that didn’t execute the promise of brighter, intense eye shadow color that stays on forever.
