From Ningin: In most American high schools, May is the time to bust out the yearbooks, go to prom and maybe say your final goodbyes. Everything done this month has to be memorable. It’s no different at Mixr High. Only, we’re not saying goodbye to you — nor are we an actual high school. We’re also probably won’t go to prom with you if you ask us. (We’ll sign your yearbooks though.) We just want you to have a Memorable May with Mixr. More »

From Ningin: Another epic battle in the inaugural Mixr League Gaming Ladder concluded yesterday. While the nations under the Mixr banner put up a good fight, the elite team of Mixr Users ended up being the ones that were victorious. And it wasn’t particularly close as Mixr Users scored 28 out of a possible 36 points. Team Ningin kept it somewhat close with a string of 2nd place finishes and getting 25 points. This round was not meant for WireMe and BlitzKuTek as they got 18 and 17, respectively. On to the details: More »

From Ningin: Only half way through Round II of MLG Season I and already we know who the stars are of this round! Speaking of stars, if you can imagine me speaking with a southern accent, I’d be saying this: “Oh my stars! Looks like Ningin is in the lead based on who the top scorers are!” …but I don’t have an accent. Here are the current top scorers holding it down for their respective teams: More »

From Ningin: Boy what an intense weekend of flash gaming! Going into this I really didn’t think the teams were all that balanced. With only three total points separating the first and last team, it seems we have some real competition. WireMeis first getting a 24 out of a possible 36 points. Team Mixr Users is second trailing by just one point. BlitzKuTek is not far behind, trailing by 2 points. Ningin, the once dominant team heading into this tournament, is surprisingly last trailing WireMe by 3. Let’s get to the breakdowns: More »

From Wirebot:

Do you ever wonder what certain celebrities, such as Micheal Jackson or Lady Gaga, would play if they were diehard video game fanatics? Not to say some aren’t, but I think it would be interesting to know exactly what type of shooter Frank Sinatra would be into, or just how hard Paris Hilton kicks ass in Street Fighter. These are pretty people, and because we are obsessed with celebrities, as gamers we need to know just what gets their gamerscore pumping. More »

From Wirebot:

Though some might use the expression “Beauty is only skin deep,” growing up in America we all know that is a complete lie. Beauty means everything in our society, and that transfers over into the video game nerd universe as well. Maybe not so much for the players, but definitely for the medium. We don’t want anymore polygon hands or paper thin environments! What we really want is CGI cutscenes and explosions so realistic looking that the heat from the blast comes right off the screen and punches us in the face!

Okay, maybe I got a little carried away there. The point though, remains. Beauty and fashion are important to us denizens of earth and because of this, Mixr Media is launching a brand new site called Flauntme! Why you ask? BECAUSE WE GOT IT! More »

From Ningin: Japanese cosmetics pioneer Shu Uemura has once said, “Beautiful make-up starts with beautiful skin.” I may not be a beauty expert, but I respond with, “Beauty web sites start with Ningin specials dedicated to Asian beauty because Ningin is a community of beautiful people.” Obviously, Mr. Uemura is more of the wordsmith when it comes to beauty. As of today, our newest Mixr sibling site FlauntMe, will be your one-stop destination for all things related to beauty, regardless of what color you are. To celebrate FlauntMe’s launch, we’ve got a lot of fun blog posts dedicated to Asian beauty planned! More »
