You may think that the color you apply to your nails is merely a color that looks attractive, but according to others, the color on your nails can say a lot about your personality too. Here’s a run-down of what different nail colors say about the person it is seen on. More »

Not much of an artist? No worries because now you can get pretty nail art on your nails without having to draw it! More »

When you go to a salon to get your nails done, chances are that the nail technician has a whole bunch of little bottles that she’ll use during your manicure, but what are they? If you go to the drugstore, you’ll find tons of bottles of clear polish — some marked base coat and some marked top coat. But what’s the difference? More »

When you read a lot about beauty like I do, you begin to realize that people generally fall under one of two splurge categories: salon manicures or nail polish purchases. I’ve rarely come across a woman who doesn’t love the idea of getting her nails done, but some of those women prefer to build their home collections rather than pick from a salon’s colors. More »

Summer is just getting heated up, but already the fashion world is focused on fall. I can’t bring myself to think about buying wool dresses and tights just yet (especially when it is approximately 300 degrees in my apartment every day), but I can manage thinking about a cool new fall nail color. Meet Paradoxal, the mystic purple color from CHANEL that is sure to be all over your nails this fall. More »

I read a lot of articles with beauty tips and tricks, and I’m sad to say that they sometimes get a little repetitive. However, while I was perusing some beauty articles the other day, one tip in particular caught my attention, and it involved nail polish and garlic. More »

Sephora has a new nail product that works similarly to the popular Minx products. The Sephora by OPI Chic Print for Nails are heat-activated decals that you simply stick on to your nails when you want a fancy design. They are much cheaper than getting a Minx mani, but the reviews on Sephora’s website aren’t fantastic. More »

I read recently about a Nails, Inc. pop-up shop at the Henri Bendel department store in New York. The British company boasts a service that they call the “three-week manicure.” The name pretty much explains it: a manicure that lasts three weeks. But doesn’t this sound awfully familiar? More »

There seems to be a growing trend of the “ombre” look in hair. We’ve seen it on nails before, but ombre hair? I’ll be honest — when I first saw pictures of ladies rocking this look, I thought it was just severely grown out roots. More »

The nice people over at Kiss sent me some samples of their upcoming line of nail products for spring, and I’ve been having a lot of fun playing around with them! Now, let me just say that I am no artist (not by a long stretch), but I’ve been using the Nail Artist Kit to put a little bit of design on my fingers! More »

The Sex and the City 2 movie is coming out in May, and the hype around it has already started. If you remember how crazed everyone got two years ago when the first movie came out, you remember that there were a lot of SATC product lines that came out. Julep has released four nail polish colors named after the SATC girls, and they are actually nice colors for spring. More »

I was sent this link today, and I’m sort of in awe of the magnitude of this Japanese nail art. As you all probably know by now, I’m a huge fan of soak-off gel nail art, and I get it done whenever I can. This Japanese blogger has the most insane nails that I have ever seen! I don’t even know how she functions in day-to-day life with these claws! More »

Last month we launched a Fall in Love with Sephora giveaway of Sephora’s Lush Flush lip and cheek stain in Pinot and Sephora by OPI nail polish in Leaf Him at the Altar. The giveaway has since ended and now it’s time to announce the winner. Drum roll, please! More »

It has been a while since I’ve been able to get back to Hello Beautiful salon in Brooklyn to get my nails done. I really like getting Calgel on my nails, since my natural nails are sort of weak and break so easily. Calgel is a really great alternative to acrylic or traditional UV gel because it soaks off in acetone and requires only a little buffing before application, so it isn’t damaging and there is no drilling involved! From Girlybubble: Last month we launched the Fall in Love with YesStyle giveaway of an Anna Sui Nail Color Kit. The contest has since ended and now it is time to announce the winner. Drum, roll please… More »
