Here’s a tool that I’ve never seen before: shields that you put under your eyes so that your eye makeup doesn’t smudge while you are applying it, and then you throw them out. The Sephora Shadow Shields are essentially cotton pads with adhesive on the back so that they stay in place. But are these really necessary? More »

The first time that I learned about Mary Quant was in high school when a fashion-forward friend of mine lent me a book about fashion history. If you aren’t familiar with her name, you are definitely familiar with her fashion contribution — a little something called the mini skirt? Heard of it? Thought so. Mary Quant popularized the mini skirt in the late 1950s, and it was, needless to say, a huge trend through the 60s. She was also a beauty pioneer, launching her own line of affordable and colorful cosmetics with her emblematic black daisy logo. More »

This seems to be the week of YouTube makeup stars! It’s really amazing to see what can happen to some of these talented ladies who turned their passion for beauty into something they could share with the world. You may recall that YouTube tutorial star Lauren Luke released a makeup collection (available at Sephora), and now she’s giving away a Sony VAIO laptop! More »

Have you ever wondered who gets to name all of the different beauty products that we use? One of the most fun products as far as names go is nail polish, and now the British cosmetics company, Illamasqua, is giving you a chance to create and name your own polish! More »

I was so excited when I found out that Sephora was letting us give away some great products from their line, but then I was bummed when I realized that I couldn’t test it. Today I gave in and went to Sephora to purchase my own Lush Flush Lip and Cheek Stain, and I’m so excited about it! More »

I never really liked eating grapefruit until recently. It was always way too tarte for my liking, but for some reason I’ve been loving it lately and I think it might be because of the smell! It is a really energizing scent, and it boosts my mood immediately. More »

This month FlauntMe has been struck by cupid and is head-over-heels in love with Sephora. This love is so strong, we want to share it with you. One lucky winner will have the opportunity to fall in love with Sephora’s Lush Flush lip and cheek stain in Pinot and Sephora by OPI nail polish in Leaf Him at the Altar. More »

Do you want your significant other to smile on Valentines Day? It must always be thoughtful and make sure it’s something he/she will use. It doesn’t have to be expensive or big. (Although, it would be nice.) If you really know whom you are buying for, picking out the right gift, should be a piece of cake.
I put together a quick buyer’s guide, keeping everything under $50. If my husband is reading this, I want the Smashbox Blushing Pink Beauty Kit. (No pressure) More »

Each year, Marc Jacobs releases a new set of limited edition body splash fragrances. I’m a regular user of Marc’s signature perfume, but sometimes during the summer months it’s nicer to just use a lighter scent (I’m no scientist, but I seem to remember from a science class that the warmer the weather is, the faster molecules move, making perfumes seem stronger). The new collection of scents are inspired by things in a patisserie shop (Look at the macarons in the ad! So cute!!), so you can be sure they’ll be yummy! More »

When I was in high school, my mom bought me a set of Sephora makeup brushes, and I had no idea what to do with them. Eventually, I learned what each brush was for and realized that they made my makeup look a lot better than it ever did before. Up until that point, I always used my fingers to apply. More »

It‘s time to check out Kim Kardashian’s new fragrance line. Kim continues to dazzle us with her dedication as a successful entrepreneur and pop-culture icon. She has her own top rated television show and her own successful online fashion business. Not to mention constant media attention, sometimes provoked by her voluptuous figure. More »

I’m not exactly sure how long Demeter Fragrances has been around, but it has definitely been a while. I remember being in junior high and sampling every Demeter spray in the collection pretty much every time that I went to the mall (yep, I even loved beauty back then!). They’ve always had some pretty off-the-wall scents, but most of them are shockingly accurate. I remember one of my favorites was Tomato, because it absolutely smelled like the tomato plants my mom grew in her garden.
I also recall loving the Sex on the Beach scent, although at the time I thought it was just a funny name and not a drink. Demeter has a whole line of cocktail-inspired scents that are definitely worth checking out! More »

The blogging girls over at Sephora’s beauty blog wrote about this new product from the namesake line: The Tonytail Wrap ($9). This is pretty much just thick strands of fake hair attached to an elastic ponytail holder, so that you can achieve the same look that Jessica Simpson is sporting in the photo below. More »
